About MPC Data LabMPC Data Lab provides support for all data-acquisition projects, and offers assistance and production management across all stages of your digital pipeline. Building on the strengths of MPC’s non-linear digital workflow and data management services, the state of the art facility also offers workflow consultancy, digital dailies, rushes for editors and a full range of digital transcoding for commercials, feature fi lms and broadcast. MPC Data Lab aims to provide an easy and trouble-free data workflow that works in the same way a film lab works – you bring in your rushes, they are processed overnight and delivered to your editor in the morning. Simple. We have the knowledge to ensure that your rushes retain all the necessary metadata for a trouble free conform, the technical expertise to produce the best image quality possible, and the infrastructure to ensure that everything is delivered on time. The purpose-built Data Lab builds on MPC’s experience with tapeless workflows. The team have already worked on numerous commercials for well known brands including Bacardi, Sony and Stella Artois, and for directors including Frank Budgen, Brett Foraker and Jonathan Glazer. Feature film experience includes Danny Boyle’s smash hit Slumdog Millionaire and Guy Ritchie’s forthcoming Sherlock Holmes movie. Managed by Digital Imaging Producer Chris Vincze, the Data Lab works closely with Creative Director of Colour Grading, Jean-Clement Soret. Chris himself comes from 4K London, the capital’s leading RED camera and workflow specialists where he was Technical and Operations Director. 4K London received one of the UK’s first RED ONE cameras in January 2008, and Chris was instrumental in pioneering standard procedure and image delivery. He has also been a consultant to Panavision when they acquired their Phantom cameras. The team has recently been joined by Kerri Aungle as Business Development Manager. Formerly of Computamatch, Kerri brings with her a vast experience of clients’ post-production needs. MPC DATA LAB SERVICES
