Colorist Reel


Multi award-winning colorist Mark Gethin has been an instrumental creative force at MPC for the past 13 years, originally in London, then as part of the team that founded the Los Angeles studio in 2008. As creative director, he leads MPC’s color grading teams in Los Angeles and New York working via a dedicated digital infrastructure that allows real-time remote viewing in HD.

He has set the look and feel of many exquisite commercials, films and TV series. Recent highlights include Lasse Hallström’s The Hundred-Foot Journey, HBO’s hit show “Togetherness” and numerous Super Bowl spots such as this year’s EMMY-nominated Nissan “With Dad,” directed by Lance Acord, and Coca-Cola “It’s Beautiful,” a highly praised multicultural rendition of “America The Beautiful” directed by John Hillcoat. Mark also graded Hillcoat’s music video for the Johnny Cash song “She Used To Love Me A Lot,” and his 2016 feature film Triple 9, a crime-drama heist. He graded Mike Mills latest feature, 20th Century Women, which debuted at the Centerpiece Gala of the 2016 New York Film Festival.
